In our meta-analysis (Goodman et al., 2004) the quality score for Swanson et al. (1993) should be zero instead of 2 because the response rate in this study was >90%. This corrected score qualifies the Swanson et al. paper as a Tier II lung cancer study. After inclusion of Swanson et al., the meta-RR estimate for Tier II changes from 1.17 (95% CI: 1.011.36) to 1.18 (95% CI: 1.021.37). In addition, when reviewing individual studies we state that the study by Olsen and Jensen (1987) considered latency. In fact, latency was considered only in the later analyses of this dataset. We apologize for the inconvenience.
